High frequency shielding (HF)

MRT rooms for the highest demands

In order to obtain optimal image quality during MRI examinations, external interference factors such as vibrations, moving ferromagnetic masses or electromagnetic interference fields must be shielded. A task that the HF cabins from Schwarz accomplish by perfectly blocking all interfering radiation through the constructed Faraday cage.

HF module cabin made of aluminium

The free-standing and self-supporting HF module cabin consists of 3 mm thick aluminium modules, which are manufactured in 75 mm grid steps. This enables us to make the best use of every space. If magnetic shielding is required, it can be built directly into the shielding modules and does not need to be attached to the walls or ceilings of the room.

Copper room shields

Whether individual rooms or complete buildings - with the help of copper sheets we effectively shield areas from approx. 20 m² to 12,500 m² by welding the sheets HF-tight under inert gas.

The brighter and friendlier an MRI room is, the more pleasant it is for patients and staff to be in. That’s why we offer fully glazed hf-screened doors and windows that let plenty of light into the room, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Hinged doors - opaque or full glass

The all-glass swing doors with RF shielding bring light into any MRI room. They can be installed in new booths or in existing systems from other RF booth manufacturers.

Mechanical sliding doors - opaque or full glass

Our mechanical all-glass sliding doors with HF shielding are a real bright spot - also in terms of design and functionality. Among other things, they have a security door lock that can also be opened from the inside.

Electric sliding doors - opaque or full glass

Our electric all-glass sliding doors with RF shielding make any MRI room look bigger and friendlier. The non-contact system for opening the door is a real labour-saver.

HF screen window - without moiré effect

Thanks to a special selection and placement of the RF fabric, our windows provide staff with an undistorted view of the MRI room. In addition, they have optimum sound insulation and are also available with an opening mechanism on request.

Interior design – perfect HF shielding on the outside, individual room design on the inside. We supply turnkey HF cabins in which patients feel comfortable.

Lighting concepts – A coloured LED lighting design, pictures that are illuminated from behind or video projections give patients an all-round positive feeling.

Special solutions – With image and sound, illness-related examinations should become an experience. For this purpose we offer different solutions such as beamers, televisions and sound systems.

Shield and dissipate Quench Tubes

When it comes to RF shielding for MRI rooms, you get an all-inclusive package from Schwarz. This also includes the professional installation of the quench pipes through which the helium gas is vented to the outside in the event of an emergency shutdown.
